each image comes as 5 different sizes to print off. you can print all 5 or just 1 they can be used for cards, toppers, notelets, or even gift tags.
also there are a selection of insert sheets

CD2:

Like Superior Custom and Vintage, Superior Vintage ADD ON was recorded
at 2KHz Studios, London using an EMI TG Desk. 2KHz.s TG is an ex Abbey
Road Mobile console 1964 design with a 28 channel /16 track
configuration, with Germanium Transistor Mic/Pres. During the Superior
Custom Vintage sessions, the studio management let it be known the
EMI desk was to be replaced. We couldn.t let that pass without recording
one more session in that room with that desk It was the last chance.
The resulting recordings make up Superior Vintage ADD ON.


On the drums

Together with Custom Vintage, this collection brings together many of
the drums being used by the world.s top studio drummers. Even though most
drummers endorse a single brand, widespread use of vintage and custom
built instruments is common in the studio scene.


Ludwig Keystone

The Ludwig Drum Company had no idea what was about to hit them in
the months following February 9th 1964, The Beatles U.S. television
appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. The band were a sensation and
almost oveight everyone wanted to own a set of Ludwig drums just
like Ringos.


Gretsch Round Badge Drum Set

At the same time Ringo Starr was playing Ludwig drums, Charlie Watts
his opposite number in The Rolling Stones was playing Gretsch,
another classic American brand. The Round Badge era of Gretsch drums
has been the choice of the most important jazz drummers in history and
still is among contemporary players. The Superior Vintage ADD ON also
features Noonan, Slingerland and WFL snares and Steve Hubback Custom
Cymbals.

Superior Vintage ADD ON was engineered and produced by Grammy winning
producer Peter Henderson and played by world renowned session drummer
Chris Whitten.


The Studio

Superior Vintage Add on was recorded at 2KHz Studios, London using an
EMI TG Desk. 2KHz.s TG is an ex Abbey Road Mobile console 1964 design
with a 28 channel /16 track configuration, with Germanium Transistor
Mic Pres. The TG console was EMIs very first transistor design and
was used for many legendary recordings of the early seventies including
The Beatles Abbey Road and Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon. It is
considered one of the best sounding desks ever made. The drums were
recorded with a selection of vintage microphones by Neumann including
valve U67.s on overheads and KM 56.s on toms, AKG and Sennheiser. As
an added feature one of the room microphones a Neumann U87 was
processed with a Helios F760 compressor, the type found in early Helios
1970s consoles as used by Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Rolling Stones
and Apple Corps The Beatles own studio.

Chris Whitten made a name for himself providing drums for the classic
hits What I Am by Edie Brikell and The New Bohemians and The Whole
Of The Moon by The Waterboys.

He cemented his place as one of the Worlds top drummers with two
critically acclaimed projects in the early 90s; Paul McCartneys
Flowers In The Dirt album and subsequent record breaking World tour,
and Dire Straits 18 month On Every Street tour 1991 92. Chris has
also recorded with such varied artists as Tom Jones, Johnny Cash,
Julian Cope, World Party, The Pretenders and The The.

Peter Henderson started his career at Air Studios where he trained
exclusively with Beatles recording engineer Geoff Emerick Sgt.
Pepper, Abbey Road etc. Peter also worked on numerous sessions as
an in house engineer with the legendary George Martin. As a freelance
producer/engineer he has worked in top studios all over the world and
co produced Supertramp?­s 20 million selling Breakfast In America,
for which he won a Grammy Best Engineered Album. Peter has also
worked with Paul McCartney, Rush, Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, Tina Tuer,
Ringo Starr and The Tubes.

This is a unique and exclusive recording of two of the most important drummers in popular music. Clyde Stubblefield and John "Jab.o" Starks.

On their own or in tandem, Starks and Stubblefield were the principal drummers for the Godfather of Soul and Funk, Mr. James Brown. Fans and critics alike cite their collective era in Brown.s band as the pinnacle of Funk. Their combined drumming on the classic double album "Sex Machine" is some of the most innovative, inspired and funky playing ever recorded.

Samples and looped audio of their original beats and breaks would go on to become the foundation of Hip Hop. Their breaks gave birth to countless genres reaching deep into the realms of underground, experimental and popular music. It is also crucial to note that the use of their breaks inspired innovation within the techniques of DJ ing and sample based production, thus making Starks and Stubblefield the most sampled and influential drummers in mode day music.

In October of 1985 Tom Waits released the album Rain
Dogs. The album was an instant classic and marked a
new sound for him. A rough, dirty neo blues style
with awkward rhythms and hard edges. Part of the band
that contributed to that sound was drummer and
percussionist Michael Blair. His highly personal
instrument set up which included a mix of regular
drums and odd bits and pieces like trashcans, bedroom
fuiture and rusty bicycle frames fit perfectly with
the sound that Waits was looking for. The combination
of Michaels timing, expression, and junkyard sounds
created a rich and useful range of musical textures
to accent Waits intricate storytelling. Michael
Blair also played and toured with Waits on Franks
Wild Years, the follow up to Rain Dogs, and later
became an integral part of the recordings for Elvis
Costello.s Spike 1989 and Lou Reeds Magic and Loss
1992. Spike became Costello.s most commercially
successful and sonically adventurous album to date.
Michael also has added his trash can consciousness to
records by the respected producer Hal Willner, in
"tribute" albums celebrating the work of composer
Kurt Weill, poet Allen Ginsberg, Walt Disney, Charles
Mingus and in collaboration with avant theatre
director Robert Wilson. In a review of Lou Reeds
poignant Magic And Loss album, David Fricke from
Rolling Stone magazine wrote the following about
Michael Blair.s work:

So, two rototom frames form a tonal hi hat, a duck
call suggests an alteative cowbell, tack drums from
China become rack toms and putting the hubcap of your
very first car on top of your snare seems like the
right thing to do. Michael Blair crosses over
boundaries of industrial, blues, ethnic, orchestral,
and replacement percussion to form a unique sound.
