The Phase Equilibria Diagrams CD ROM Database Version 3.0 contains more than 19,000 diagrams previously published in 20 phase volumes produced as part of the ACerS NIST Phase Equilibria Diagrams Program: Volumes I through XIII; Annuals 91, 92 and 93; High Tc Superconductors I II; Zirconium Zirconia Systems; and Electronic Ceramics I.

New features for version 3.1.0

1. Printing/Copying the search retu list: The search retu list can be printed or copied to the clipboard by right clicking on the search retu list; then selecting .?Print Search List.. for printing or .?Copy Search List to Clipboard.. for copying.

2. New content: .?Volume 14: Oxides.. Version 3.1.0 contains more than 1200 new evaluated diagrams and more than 800 descriptive commentaries on oxide systems, primarily from literature published from the early 1980.·s through 2004. It complements the earlier Phase volumes on oxide system I IV, VI, XI, XII, XIII, Annuals 91 93, and the topical publications on High Tc Superconductors, Zr systems, and Electronic Ceramics.

3. New content: INFO file Information Reference Files Version 3.1.0 also includes the INFO file, with 3,200 entries of literature references collected through 2004 for papers that contain phase equilibria information but, in general, no diagram or a diagram that does not obey the phase rule. Some papers may have data from which a diagram may be plotted, while in others only the results of a study are discussed. The list is by no means exhaustive because collecting and identifying references without diagrams was not systematic until the mid 1980.·s. Regardless, it was deemed useful to provide this information. Users should be aware that this file has not been checked in detail for accuracy by the data center staff. The INFO file, like the other database entries, can be searched by any of the fields on the search form Chemical system, Author.·s Last Name, Publication Year, etc... A checkbox has been included allowing the user to include or exclude the INFO file during searches. The default screen is to exclude the INFO file.

4. Printing a rotated or mirrored diagram The user can send the screen image to the printer by right clicking on the screen image, and then selecting .?Print Screen.. for printing or .?Copy Screen to Clipboard.. for copying.
