The classic TR 808 Drum Machine has massively influenced electronic music
production for over 30 years. Its place in the vaults of electronic music
history is clear! The famous ?Sub boom? from this legendary device has
made it one of the most popular sampled drum machines to date.

Wave Alchemys 808 Drums faithfully captures the "808 sound" by using a
careful sampling process bo out of shear passion for the original
instrument. Each Drum sample has been recorded using a unique, high end
signal chain designed to capture the depth and character of the original
machine. Further outboard processing, precision editing and creative
sample layering brings these classic TR 808 samples firmly into the
present giving you a ?mode take on a classic sound".

In true wave alchemy style the TR 808 has been lovingly sampled with great
care taken to capture the tone of the equipment used. All drum samples
have been recorded through an API 512 pre amp with many of the sounds
featuring different saturation settings from outboard devices such as the
Cranesong Hedd, Empirical Labs Fatso, Distressor and Thermionic Culture
Vulture.

808 Drums is ideal for producers of house, techno, hip hop, minimal, down
tempo and everything in between.
